The Goldilocks Region
~ Not too hot and not too cold but just right ~
In many regions of this planet birds and their song are a rarity rather than a given. For example, in Tokyo birdsong is played through loudspeakers, the birds are gone. I live surrounded by birdsong and I don't want to imagine a life without birds or their song: that rich cacophony of chatter. This body of work is a response to the concerns of habitat fragmentation and destruction, introduced species and the vast array of impacts which further threaten and diminish bird populations.
