Site specific installation for the 10 year celebration of the 'walk the zigzag' event.
These works are a celebration of the history of the Darling Scarp communities. The works utilize 'frottaged' found objects, fragments of domestic history, chosen as signifiers from an era and place. While the work translates an individual family history, it is a common history and shared by many.
The frottaged fragments are fundamental to a larger translation: the notion of how the individual's place and space fits into our shared history, and therefore our present and future. It is the use of these vestiges and traces of domestic history which creates an interstice to re present re collections of our shared past.
