The space was once a supermarket and has been given new life as the Lake Grace Multi Art Space. I am honoured to have been the first artist from outside their region to have a solo show in the space.

The Space is owned by two amazing Lake Grace contemporary artists Kerry Argent and Tania Spencer. It is large, half gallery and half workspace, with a moveable dividing wall to expand either side. There are many plans and visions afoot, including an artist in residence live-in space and coffee shop and I have no doubt that these women and the Lake Grace artist group will make it happen! The arts group organises regular workshops tutored by Western Australia's best.

It is a great space to show, and it was wonderful to be welcomed by the closeknit Lake Grace community. If I was to coin three words to tell of this experience they would be: care, thoughfulness and respect.

The wax workshop was a hoot. 14 woman enthusiatic to learn 'all' about wax. We had two days of eating, eating, eating - oh and playing at hard work. I think everyone had a great time with not too many wax spills and 'escapes' and great results all round.
